Folifest chooses to Support Devon Air Ambulance Trust

Thursday, 20 February, 2014

The community of Tamerton Foliot will be getting together for the fourth year running, in order to raise funds for two local worthwhile charities;  Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Plymouth Music Zone.

Organised by the three village pubs at the heart of the community being The Kings, The Queens and The Seven Stars, Folifest 2014 takes to the stage on Saturday 12 July from 12 noon to 10.30pm.  The Festival will feature two stages and 16 bands which include the fantastic junk percussion of Weapons of Sound, The Diggurz and The Paisley Strays.

There’s truly something there for all of the family and entertainment for all ages including a tuck shop, face painting, bouncy castle, bbq and other stalls.  There will also be a fantastic raffle and various other events within the pubs and their gardens during the day.

Organiser Steve Harris said “This event is organised by the three village pubs, coming together, in the name of raising funds for two fantastic local good causes.  There is truly something for everyone and you will be able to sample some of the best music the South West has to offer.”

He added “This event is free to come along to, simply turn up on the day, however we hope that those attending will be supportive and generous to our nominated charities.”

Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director of Devon Air Ambulance Trust said “We would like to thank the organisers of Folifest for choosing us as one of their charities of choice for their 2014 festival.  Events such as this happen right at the heart of the community, the people that we are here to help, and indeed the people who raise the funds in order to ensure that their two Air Ambulances remain airborne.”
