Olympic skater and head judge on ITV’s Dancing on Ice Robin Cousins recently visited the Devon Air Ambulance airbase to officially announce that he and the Westpoint Arena had chosen to support the Charity at the Robin Cousins’ ICE shows at Westpoint next February during half term.

There’s a special surprise for supporters too, as when they buy their tickets over the phone from the box office for the gala night on 08444 999 955 quoting DAAT they won’t only be donating 10% back to the Charity, but they will also receive a very special wristband, which will get them into a special VIP reception afterwards, to meet the fantastic stars of the show.

Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director of Devon Air Ambulance Trust said “Sadly Robin won’t be able to make it to the performances himself, as he will be in Russia commentating at the Winter Olympics, but we hope to be able to have a video message from him which will make the evening that bit more special.

“Therefore it was great that he could pop in and see us beforehand, so we could show him around the aircraft, meet the on-duty crew, and explain how the money donated via ‘ICE’ will make a huge difference to the community.”

Caroline added “If you would like to come along on another night, that’s fine too - you can book tickets by ringing 08444 999 955 and don’t forget to quote ‘DAAT’; even if you aren’t going to the gala evening, you can still pledge 10% of your ticket sales to us (except for ticket package offers - offer not available online).”

Tickets start at £22.50 for adults and from £12 for children.

Robin Cousins commented “I’m thrilled that we will be supporting Devon Air Ambulance Trust by contributing 10% of each ticket sale where ‘DAAT’ is quoted.  The work the Charity does is hugely important in Devon so please join us to continue to make a difference.”

Sarah Toms from Westpoint Exeter added “We are delighted Westpoint is able to support Devon Air Ambulance Trust through Robin Cousin’s’ ICE ticket sales. Devon’s Air Ambulances offer a fantastic service and we hope our funding will go some way to supporting the local community. On behalf of Westpoint we look forward to meeting supporters on the opening night performance at our after show party and hope they will enjoy the opportunity of meeting the stars of the show!”

The new winter show will be held at Westpoint, Exeter for 5 nights, starting Wednesday 19th Feb 2014, during February half term.
