Martin Hawkins, duty operational manager in West Norfolk has praised Jane Barry for her actions recently when off duty.

Jane, who works as an ambulance transport assistant on the intermediate tier vehicle in King's Lynn, witnessed a man collapse in the street and went to his aid. She started chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth breathing while waiting for ambulance back up.

Martin said: "This patient is only 46 years old. We managed to get a return of pulse and breathing effort and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Jane rode in with us, and without her efforts, the outcome would have been different."
