Shaping ambulance service's future

Wednesday, 21 October, 2009

South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb) held an engagement event in
Ashford aimed at shaping the future of its services.

The event, last month, was called Shaping the Future of your Ambulance Service and was one of three events, which took place during September, giving the public and stakeholders a chance to share their views about what the future of the ambulance service should look like.

This is the third year that SECAmb has held such engagement events, which help inform the Trust's business plan. They also form a crucial role as the Trust moves forward with its plans to be become
a foundation trust.

Chief Executive, Paul Sutton, said: "The public and patients are at the heart of everything that we do as an ambulance service and therefore we are determined to meet the changing needs of the communities that we serve.

"This is why these events are so important. They give us an opportunity to hear what people think about how the Trust
is modernising. They also help us to understand what is most important to them."
