Paramedic hits race track

Getting to emergencies quickly is
always a priority for Wellingborough, (Northamptonshire) paramedic Paul Bowman,
however his driving skills were put to use on the race track this summer Paul is racing in the 2009 European Late Model Series to raise awareness of the Ambulance Service Benevolent Fund (ASBF) whilst driving in the #39 ASBF Ascar.

So far, Paul has taken part in seven races around England and during September and October he will go international
by racing in Belgium.

The Revolution Racing Team is supporting Paul, giving preparation and trackside support. The European Late Model Series was designed to bring ideals from American
stockcar racing to Europe and provides entertainment for the fans and the drivers alike. You can see Paul's races on

"Paul is a hard working, committed
member of our team and a highly skilled paramedic," said Richard Clayton, EMAS
Northamptonshire General Manager. "We wish him every success in his quest to raise the profile of the Ambulance
Service Benevolent Fund."
