Emergency Response Officer

£23,697 - £27,879 per annum (inclusive of shift and weekend allowance) plus Performance Related Pay     36 hours per week

The Emergency Response Service is looking to appoint the right person to join the team of Emergency Response Officers. The service provides an emergency response to residents of the borough 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The successful person will be required to work to a 12 week Rota which includes night duties. You will be responsible for receiving calls in the Emergency Response Call Centre. The officer will respond to a variety of emergency calls and provide reassurance and assistance to our customers living in sheltered housing schemes and customers living in their own homes connected to the dispersed alarm system known as Wandsworth Alarm Telephone Care Helpline (WATCH). This is a demanding job, which requires a high level of sensitivity, good knowledge of services available to meet the needs of our customers which comprise of: older, younger and disabled customers. Working in isolation, making instant decisions, as well as working as part of a large team are key features of this post.

You must possess a clean driving licence and use of a car.
