The Head of Clinical Hubs is a role of key importance in South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate must be someone who is able to provide strategic leadership within the Operations Directorate, whilst ensuring the continual improvement of the quality of services. This must be achieved by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care will flourish in the Clinical Hub and the wider service.

Senior management support for the Executive Director of Operations is also essential, alongside service developments and project activities that will subsequently translate into operational activity. This will include long term strategic planning.

We seek an individual who will lead the delivery of all aspects of the Clinical Hub control functions by planning, organising, monitoring, and directing activities to ensure the delivery of high quality pre-hospital care. This will include the responsibility for ensuring that the Trust achieves and maintains all key performance targets including Ambulance Systems Quality Indicators, response standards and financial balance.

We require someone who is both resilient and reliable; has stamina and is capable of managing a demanding portfolio. You must possess intellectual gravitas and the ability to build strong relationships with both individuals and external stakeholders.
