We are delighted to announce that SG Technical Systems Ltd, based in Market Weighton, East Yorkshire is one of the select UK businesses awarded the prestigious 2016 Queens Award for Enterprise. The award is received for Innovation.

The Queens Award for Enterprise is the UK’s highest accolade for business success. SG Technical Systems award has been received in recognition of its dedication to innovation across its full range of products but in particular for the SG EasyLoad wheelchair/stretcher ramps used in ambulances across the UK.

The SG EasyLoad ramp was designed to be highly robust and reliable and has a proven track record of being so. During development four separate ramps were each tested to in excess of 250,000 open/close operations and all versions of the ramps have been load tested, by Lloyds British, to 1000Kg with no adverse effects. As a direct result of its robustness and reliability operators using the SG ramps have seen very substantial cost savings with ambulances being on the road rather than out of service with ramp faults.

Simon Chacksfield, Managing Director, said: “It is a huge honour for SG to receive the Queens Award for Enterprise. This award recognises our continual pursuit of innovation and quality and the hugely positive benefits for our customers.”

The company was set up in 2010 during the UK’s worst recession in 50 years with a vision to create innovative, high quality products backed by a reputation for the highest standards of reliability. We have stayed true to our vision and the business has grown substantially year on year. 2016 is set to be our most successful year with orders from UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong and South Korea amongst others.  SG Technical Systems currently has a talented and dedicated workforce of eight, expected to increase during 2016, and works closely with a number of key suppliers in the local region.
