NSL Care Services appointed to deliver Patient Transport Services for North Staffordshire. NSL Care Services expands into new offices

Thursday, 16 May, 2013

NSL Care Services has been appointed to deliver patient transport services (PTS) in North Staffordshire, which is set to go-live on 1st August 2013. The new partnership reinforces its dominance in PTS throughout the midlands. NSL Care Services have also been recently appointed to deliver PTS in Kent & Medway, which gives it a foothold in the south, and goes live on 1st July.

NSL Care Services’ ongoing growth has necessitated a move to larger offices, not far from its former base in Shrewsbury. The new office will house an expanded patient contact centre that will take bookings across the West Midlands and the South East, providing an efficient, patient-focused service.

Alastair Cooper, Care Services MD, said: “We are delighted to have been selected to run the service in North Staffordshire and we have already started planning the mobilisation of the service. This contract complements our operations throughout the Midlands, but South Staffordshire in particular. We have a great team at NSL Care Services who are energised, motivated and looking forward to welcoming our transferring colleagues.”

The CQC has inspected five of NSL Care Services’ sites so far this year. Not one call to action was made, meeting all nationally set criteria. As an Investor in People GOLD, the organisation places great emphasis on its staff learning and development programmes. Around fifty of its staff are guided and mentored through BTECs each year. NSL Care Services has also recently awarded two year-long apprenticeships, with more set to follow.
