Webasto One touch climate control system

Temperature management specialist shows complete vehicles equipped with Webasto products

Based on the motto "Heating and Cooling: Efficient and Customised", Webasto is appearing at this year's Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham.

From April 9 to 11, 2013, the supplier is showing its extensive portfolio of products for original equipment and retrofitting in Hall 4, stand 4E80.

The spacious stand of 400m2 enables Webasto to display a large range of complete vehicles including a low floor bus, a Mercedes Citan refrigeration vehicle, a high dependency unit vehicle, a teardrop welfare caravan plus many more from Webasto's leading UK customers and be-spoke builders. The display vehicles utilise different Webasto systems - thus illustrating the diversity of Webasto's products.

Webasto will also be displaying their motor-independent electric parking cooler - The Cool Top Vario.

"One touch" Climate Control: Easy to use and install

The low floor bus is fitted with Webasto's advanced "one touch" climate control systems, which features simple operation and ergonomic luxury car-style interior temperature control. The system is heralded as simple a "plug and play" with no electrical relays. This ensures
that installation time is dramatically reduced, when compared to competing systems.

For the Welfare vehicle market: Warm meals

The welfare vehicle is equipped with the Webasto Diesel Cooker X100 to provide warm meals to those in need. A single-flame cooking plate uses a diesel burner as its heat source. The CERAN ® cooking surface offers space for two pots or pans. One of the surfaces can be used to heat food or keep it warm, the other to cook.

For the transport of perishable goods: The Transport Refrigeration System "Frigo"

The refrigeration vehicle showcases the "Frigo" modular refrigeration system for commercial vehicles, which has been specifically designed to transport perishable goods, ensuring that they remain fresh even over great distances. The system can be used in any lightweight
commercial vehicle equipped with an air conditioner at the production plant. The various components, including the condenser, evaporator and compressor, can be combined to produce customised solutions.

"Frigo" is suitable for vehicles with cargo capacities up to 18 m3. A maximum cooling capacity of 3.6 KW and an air flow up to 1500 m3 per hour provide reliable cargo cooling.

Electric parking cooler Cool Top Vario: no drafts ever again

Webasto provides the Cool Top Vario as a retrofit solution; thanks to various vehicle specific installation kits, it is available for most customary truck models. The existing roof hatch on the vehicle is used for installation, which takes two to three hours. There are no maintenance costs. With a power output of 1000 watts, the parking cooler system Cool Top Vario provides reliable, high cooling capacity. The air is conditioned using a threefold ventilation system; the patented comfort nozzle distributes air evenly inside of the cab without annoying drafts. Six fan speed settings permit air flows up to 500 m3/h. The system runs on 24 V. In ECO mode, the power consumption of the compressor driven, roof-mounted air-conditioning system is particularly low.

Webasto will also display their popular and versatile range of Air Top air heaters, Thermo water heaters and air-conditioning systems.
