Paramedics in action - Paul, Rod and Daren

Three Hertfordshire based paramedics recently completed a gruelling 50 mile run to raise money for the Keech Cottage Hospice in Luton.

Daren Branch began the run at Tower Bridge alongside Rod Taylor, who supported him on his mountain bike and headed for the finishing line at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The route took Daren and Rod through the streets of London and past the River Thames, the Olympic Stadium, before heading north into Hertfordshire.

On reaching Welwyn Garden City, they were joined by colleague Paul Fletcher, who
ran the last 15 miles with them. The Paramedics reached the finishing line at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage after 9 hours 43 minutes. Daren wanted to do something different for his 50th and so far the team's efforts have raised £500 for the hospice.
