Friday, 02 July, 2010

The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) for the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust collected the winner's prize at the HART Special Achievement Awards, held during the conference dinner at Inner Cordon 2010, the first ever national HART conference and exhibition on 10 June 2010.

NWAS HART Manager Joe Barrett collected the winner's prize of £750 of John Lewis gift vouchers, a trophy and a certificate on behalf of the whole NWAS HART team.

The evening's master of ceremonies, Peter Kendall of the HART Project Team said, "This award is for a team who has led by example and has done much to promote and improve inter-agency working, particularly with colleagues in the Fire and Rescue Service.

"The undoubted benefits of this joint services facility will not only benefit the staff from both organisations but will provide undoubted benefits for patients through a strong and mature multi agency team approach."

Other award winners were Andy Humber of London HART (Runner-up) and Jamie Fountain of the HART Training Faculty (Highly Commended).
