Shopper Airlifted To Hospital

Monday, 01 March, 2010

During a busy Saturday morning at the Eden Valley Centre High Wycombe a shopper was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious leg injuries whilst on her way back to her car.

Following an emergency call to the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance the crew had to land on the roof of the car park as Land Ambulance crews were unable to reach the patient and staff and security at the centre were utilised to close and clear the top car park of cars enabling the Thames Valley Air Ambulance to land safely.

Paramedics treated the patient on scene and she was then airlifted to Wexham Park Hospital with suspected hip fractures

Shoppers were able to watch in amazement as the pilot landed the helicopter safely on the roof, between the white lines !
