The East of England Ambulance Service is pleased to announce that paramedic Ashley Richardson, has been successful in becoming the clinical operations manager (COM) for the Letchworth area in Hertfordshire. On his appointment, Ashley said: "As a clinical operations manager my primary role is to support operational staff in the delivery of high quality patient focussed clinical care. I see the role as an advocate for staff support and development in the clinical setting. I am very excited about the challenges ahead of me and I will being getting out and about to meet up with everyone with North East Herts."

Assistant general manager Steve Davey said: "I am pleased to welcome Ashley to our locality. We have been without our own clinical operations manager for some time and have been supported by Karen Darling from South East Hertfordshire. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her effort and support during this extended period. I look forward to Ashley's clinical input within our area, and support his drive to introduce himself to the local teams."
