Alison Driver on 'Hull and Humber

A West Sussex woman has swapped the saddle and reins of her horse for the sails and ropes of a yacht. Alison Driver from Littlehampton has set her sights on circumnavigating the globe in the 'Clipper Round the World Race' and she hopes to raise £10,000 for the Sussex Air Ambulance by the time she arrives back
on UK soil next July.

Alison is raising the funds for the Sussex Air Ambulance because close friend Tina Cook needed the intervention of the HEMS crew when she fell off of her horse and suffered severe head injuries.

Alison set sail with her team on the 'Hull and Humber' from Hull on Sunday 13th September 2009 for La Rochelle in France and is now bound for Rio with an ETA of mid-October. During the epic
voyage Alison will take in Cape Town, Western Australia, Singapore, China,
California, Jamaica, New York and Canada before heading back to Europe and then
home on July 17th.
