Arch to Arc for the Air Ambulance

Wednesday, 13 August, 2008

For the first time a woman will be attempting the gruelling Enduroman Arch to Arc Challenge, and will be raising much needed funds for the Air Ambulance, whom she has chosen as one of her charities.

Trudy Dixon, who lives in Bracknell, will be leaving London's Marble Arch, Wednesday 6th August at 12pm, where her challenge begins, she has to:

Run 87 miles to Dover

Swim 22 miles to the French Coast on Friday

Ride 180 miles to Paris ...

Finishing Saturday at the Arc De Triomphe!

Trudy, 32, who has been training hard for the event, says "I'm looking forward to the run because I love running, but the swim is going to be difficult, mainly because of the distance involved and the cold, but I have the attitude to keep going, and am determined to be the first solo female to complete what is seen as one of the World's most difficult endurance events."
