JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for individuals aged 18yrs or above to join a pool of first aid providers operating from South East London base to various locations in the Uk and beyond.

Opportunities will be on an ad hoc basis, this role is ideally suited for those looking for an additional form of income which will be negotiated.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Acting as a First Aider at various public and private events for example, festivals, marathons and party's. I most situations you will be working as part of a team including EMT's, Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience in First Aid, Network and Progress.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A current First Aid at work Certificate is required for the role. You will at all times present a professional image, be reliable and demonstrate good communication and people skills. Additionally you will need to be physically fit for this role / duty in question.

INTRODUCTION TO THE COMPANY

Paramedico Limited actively seeks to develop and enhance a professional Event Medical service with trained personnel to transport sick, injured and infirm persons between the event and hospital, or to a specialist hospital units, as required by organisers.

Paramedico Limited supply trained personnel to cover public events, pop concerts, sporting events and first aid rooms where trained staff is required to give emergency first aid.

The main purpose of the staff is the promotion of health and the care of patients, transporting them safely where required and, where possible, pain free. In their dealings with patients, staff will be compassionate and sympathetic to their needs and show support to relatives.

In fulfilling this core purpose, the following principles will be applied:

Each patient is entitled to receive a personal service from staff who will respect that patient’s right to dignity and privacy.

Each event or site that receives a service from Paramedico Limited must receive the appropriate service as agreed at the outset.

Each member of staff is a valued member of the team and should be enabled and trained to make the best possible contribution to the service.

Each member of staff appreciate the need for teamwork and actively seek to ensure close co-operation and collaboration with professional colleagues, other agencies and voluntary groups involved in the provision of health care at an event.

The highest quality of care must always be given together with appropriate treatment. The quality of service should be continually assessed, feedback about performance frequently given and received and improvement actively sought.

Every member of staff should actively seek to ensure the most efficient and effective use of resources available from the Company. This obligation will be suitably emphasised on every appropriate occasion. The delivery of high quality value-for-money services will be the objective and performance in this regard will be demonstrable.

Paramedico staff have covered many events in UK and abroad from Horse shows to pop concerts or International athletics, our equipment and staff have been able to supply first class service even setting up medical centre to look after campers at festivals both day and night.
