HART Educator
Eastleigh, Hampshire
Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) are new and challenging teams which are being set up throughout the UK to provide ambulance response to major incidents involving hazardous materials, or which present hazardous environments, that have occurred as a result of an accident or have been caused deliberately. We are now in the process of integrating this national programme with our Emergency Preparedness Team.

Salary: Band 6 £24,831 - £33,436 pa Hours: f/t 37.5 pw
To be successful in this role, you must hold the following essential qualifications and expertise:
An HPC Registered Paramedic, with extensive operational experience;
An Emergency Driving Qualification;
An CBRN Bronze Qualified Commander;
Experience of supporting staff in achieving effective and safe clinical practice (e.g. as Field
Based Assessor, Clinical Supervisor or practice mentor);
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with people at all levels;
Evidence of a proactive approach to own CPD and development of professional practice.

Salary: Band 5 £20,710 - £26,839 pa Hours: f/t 37.5 pw
To be successful in this role, you must hold the following essential qualifications and expertise:
An HPC Registered Paramedic or Qualified Technician due to complete Paramedic training by Summer 2010;
An Emergency Driving Qualification;
High standards of clinical care;
Evidence of working in a multi-agency environment;
Ability to work in enclosed spaces, at height and in other difficult areas;
Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure.
